"Chinglish" by Sue Pickford. An Interview with Sue Pickford by Jason E. Foss.

                                                                                    SUE PICKFORD

"Great Authors have a way of touching our lives.  Whether it is for entertainment purposes, a break from work, or to feel inspired, they have what it takes to give us what you need.  You want action, a Thriller, horror, drama, or any other kind of genre there are names of Authors that stand out and bring words to Life.  There are also moments when you want to feel connected to someone.  Or inspired.  Just like every other kind of book, a story where an Author shares a bit of themselves to help others takes a special kind of writer.  Sue Pickford is one of these Great Authors.  She let us know what motivates her."

                                                                                                      Jason E. Foss

Jason:                                       "What motivated you to write 'Chinglish'?"

Sue:

"It was during a visit to my agent in November 2015 when he asked about my childhood. Weird, I thought. Why would he want to know about that? I proceeded to tell him how hard done by I was having been dragged up in a Chinese takeaway in my early teens. ‘I hated it,’ I moaned, ‘they were the worst years of my life.’ And he responded by saying, ‘Then you should write about it!’ I thought it was the worst idea ever. I’d spent the best part of my life hiding my shameful past and now I was being asked to dig it up for all the world to see. But eventually after realizing the book could help others, I agreed."

Jason:                                          "You are very good at what you do and there are a lot of qualities one must have to be successful.  What do you feel is the best characteristic to have in order to be successful?"

Sue:

"Wow, this is a hard question - I think there's many characteristics but if I had to pick just one then I'd say you'd have to be positively driven."

Jason:                                             "Do you have any other passion or life goals and if so what are they?"

Sue:

"I love travelling, scuba diving and I also enjoy yoga. But my main goal is to use my skills, experience and knowledge as a writer and artist to enrich and empower the lives of others."

Jason:                                               "For those that are inspired by you and would like to chase their dreams and achieve their Life Goals what advice would you give them that would help them to be successful?"

Sue:

"Oh my gosh, there's so much we can do for ourselves but I'll give you a list of the things that have helped me the most":

•Meditation - this is the single best tool for creating focus in your life

•Self-development - there's a lot of great authors/speakers out there from the pragmatic (Gary Vaynerchuck) to the spiritual (Wayne Dyer) but they all give great advice

• Exercise and nutrition - a lot of people overlook these but they're so important because when you feel at your best, you function at your best.

Jason:                                                  " You are very motivating.  For your fans and book lovers what is the easiest way to buy 'Chinglish'?"

Sue:

"Chinglish is easily available online and in most bookshops including independents."

                              CLOSING

"Sue Pickford was motivated by her Agent in 2015.  When her Agent told her to write about her childhood it caught her by surprise.  One of my favorite things about Sue is even though she was ashamed of her past and hid it for so long, she wrote about it anyway!  She saw that it would help others and she wrote a book that was bigger than herself.  Her bravery and selflessness is very inspiring.  She teaches us that in life we are all capable of getting out of our comfort zone.  And if we are determined and motivated enough we can accomplish wonders.  Click on the link above and buy "Chinglish"."

"Some Days, Here" by Tricia DeJesus Gutierrez. An Interview with Tricia De Jesus Gutierrez by Jason E. Foss.

                                                                          TRICIA DE JESUS GUTIERREZ

"Great Poets have a way of connecting to people.  Their words create different emotions that the Reader will always remember. They can tie it to themselves with their own life experiences.  And when they are done reading some of their works they say to themselves, "Me Too.  I feel like I can relate to this Poet".  Tricia De Jesus Gutierrez is one of these Great Poets.  She is so full of Color.  She's so full of Life.  Her positive energy is beyond her Poems.  Poetry is something that can make you Feel again even when you thought you never would.  She let us know what motivates her."

                                                                                                    Jason E. Foss

Jason:                             "What motivated you to write "Some Days, Here?""

Tricia:

"“Some Days, Here” was in a certain way a culmination point of almost fifteen years of actively writing poetry as a way of recording my life’s events, my experiences, what I had learned from these experiences. When I had the opportunity to read back and begin to catalogue these poems, common themes begin to emerge, like childhood memories and growing pains, and love and loss. It was like a lightbulb popping and an almost audible “yes!” within my head. The time to collect and publish this body of work had arrived. An epiphany? Maybe, but more akin to a truth that these experiences I wrote, they are universal, shared by us all, timeless. It brings us closer in this increasingly impersonal world."

Jason:                            "You are very good at what you do and there are a lot of qualities one must have to be successful.  What do you feel is the best characteristic to have in order to be successful?"

Tricia:

"Success is constant, fearless and honest doing. As long as you always possess and hold yourself accountable to that honesty, you are successful."

Jason:                             "You are a very talented Poet.  What is the name of your Favorite poem you ever wrote and why does it mean so much to you?"

Tricia:

"Oh, wow, I’m going to have to delve hard for that one!  We, as creatives, can be the biggest critics of our own work, so the crafting and editing may be never ending, and we are hard pressed to pick a favourite. I can tell you which poem perhaps that I feel the deepest; it is a poem titled “Teach me How to Come Up for Air (imperfect thoughts in the throes of grieving)”—I wrote it about a month after the passing of my beloved dog, Marbles. It was...a lesson, an ongoing lesson in the messiness of the mourning process, on life in general, how we process our grief, how we move on, how we perceive and extract strength and meaning from the situations with which we are presented."

Jason:                               "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"

Tricia:

"I am tinkering around with another collection of poems. It is siphoning my life now through a more mature lens, how it relates to what women are facing today, how recent occurrence, personal and more global, colour this perception and what I take away from it."

Jason:                            "You are very motivating.  For those that would love to read your book what is the best way for them to buy "Some Days, Here"?"

Tricia:

"Thank you so much, Jason! My book is available in Kindle format and paperback through Amazon."

                                                                                     CLOSING

Tricia De Jesus Gutierrez was motivated by that moment when she realized that she has enough Poetry to publish and share it with the world.  My favorite thing about Tricia is her openness to others.  She has a giving nature about herself that reflects in her Poetry.  Her creativity reflects that and because she is so relatable in her poems she is able to touch us with her words.  We can all learn from eachother.  And it was nice getting advice from her to stay honest and hold yourself accountable you will be successful.  She describes Success as being constant.  Also it is important to be Fearless.  To find what you want to succeed at it and keep going for it until you achieve your dream.  Because once you stop the momentum slows down.  So be Fearless in your actions when it comes to getting to where you want to be in Life.  And one day, if you haven't gotten there already, you will look around and say to yourself, "Wow, I made it."  Click on the Link above and buy "Some Days, Here"."

"Without You" Elise Bellew. An Interview with Elise Bellew by Jason E. Foss.

                                                                                    ELISE BELLEW

                                                                                  "WITHOUT YOU"

"A couple was fighting at a restaurant because the BoyFriend was late again.  He works a ton of hours and he has a major flaw.  He is always late.  At work.  You name it he waits the last minute all the time.  This time he got up an hour early and he wanted to surprise his girl.  Long story short he shows up at the Restaurant 30 minutes Late.  Out of embarrassment of waiting so long yet again she was fed up.  He shows up with Flowers and she slams a white Napkin on the table and said "Not this time!  I'm taking the Train Home!"  On the Train Ride Home she sees one of her Girlfriends and starts to vent, crying.  Her girlfriend said.  "Wait.  Your last boyfriend was a jerk.  Your new boyfriend didn't cheat, he has a car, a good job, and you stormed off because he is always late!  Girl, you don't know how good you have it.  I'll take a good man that is late over a jerk anytime!"  The rest of her train ride home she was miserable.  She felt like she made a mistake and doesn't know how to fix it.  As soon as she left the Train there he was.  Her boyfriend with the same Flowers.  He smiles at her and says, "You know nothing is fun without you.  Im sorry, but I'm on time this time, get in!"  She smiles and just like that he was on time eversince.  On their way home Elise Bellew's song "Without You" comes on and it's their song now.  Great Singers like Elise Bellew keep people's love alive and creates beautiful memories.  She let us know what motivates her."

                                                                                                                   Jason E. Foss

Jason:                                 What motivated you to write "Without You"

Elise:

"I never really “intentionally” set out to write a song – for me, it begins with a more subconscious process. Especially in the last three years, I write almost all of my songs in my sleep – sometimes just the melodies, and other times both the melodies and the lyrics. For “Without You”, I woke up with just the vocal melody in my head, and then developed the lyrics over time. In general, the song is about finally letting go of an old relationship, and embracing a new one. So it’s really a love song, but also a song about letting go of the past and moving forward."

Jason:                                  "You have 33 or more songs out and they are all very amazing songs.  What is it about "Without You" that means so much to you?"

Elise:

"Without You marks an important time in my life where I had finally let go of a past relationship that was haunting me and holding me back. So Without You is somewhat of a “declaration of independence”."

"Also, when I wrote the song initially, I thought it was going to be a ballad. But when I presented the song to my producer Bryan Steele, he immediately put a dance beat to it. So the song ended up becoming my first-ever EDM song, although I like calling it “Ethereal EDM”."

Jason:                                  "As a Singer/Songwriter which is more fun to you?  Writing the songs, recording the songs, or performing the songs, and why?"

Elise:

"Oh my gosh, that’s such a hard question because I really love all three!"

"There is definitely a “magic” that happens during the songwriting process… When I write a song, I feel like it comes to me from a mysterious place. Like the song already exists and I am just “receiving” it. I can be sound asleep at 3 am and a song will literally wake me up – melody, lyrics, music, everything! I have to scramble to sing it into my phone fast enough before I forget the parts. I remember an amazing quote by Bono of U2 about the songwriting process with his band. He described it as if “God walked into the room”."

Jason:                                   "So far as a Music Artist what was one of your biggest compliments from a fan?"

Elise:

"For me, the biggest compliments from fans are the ones where they say a song touched them or helped them in some deep and meaningful way – that the lyrics “spoke” to them and helped them through a hard time, or made them feel not so alone."

Jason:                                    "For your Fans and Music Lovers, what is the best Link for them to buy your new Single "Without You"?"

Elise:

"“Without You” is available on all digital platforms, but here are some links below to the most popular ones including Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, and iTunes."

"Prioritize, Set a Timeline, and go for it!" -Zalime Diaz. An Interview with Zalime Diaz by Jason E. Foss.

                                                                                     ZALIME DIAZ

"Great Leaders defy the odds.  It doesn't matter the situation they are in.  There is something inside of them that not only gets them through it but they flourish.  They take control of their environment.  They adapt.  They lock in on their goals and there is nothing that will stand in their way.  Failure is not even a thought.  Only what do I have to do to get to where I want to go.  Zalime Diaz is one of these Great Leaders.  She let us know what motivates her."

Jason:                                "What motivates you as the Store Manager at Brooks Brothers?

Zalime:

"Three years ago Brooks Brothers reached out to me on Linkedin.  I'm motivated by the fact that I can be a huge part of someone's life.  Whether it is for a wedding or any type of special event I'm making a difference in their life.

"I was into retail ever since I was a little girl.  My mom and I would go in downtown Manhattan to purchase clothing in bulk and resell it.  That sparked up a partnership between my mother and some investors in Queens, NY.  And that's how I developed a Passion for Retail"

"At 18 I worked at AutoZone.  Even though I was the only Female I was promoted very quickly.  It wasn't the greatest environment to work in being around so many angry men.  I was young and everyone doubted me.  I had to prove myself that I deserved the Title of Manager and I did.

Jason:                               "You are very good at what you do and there are a lot of qualities one must have to be successful.  What do you feel is the best characteristic to have in order to be successful.

Zalime:

"Success is different for every person.  It can be lots of money, happiness, or more time with family.  For me success is the amount of connections I built over the years.  Being heavily involved  in people's lives is important to me.  Yes, we are Professionals.  We work together forty hours a week.  But we feel like we're Family.  It's a competitive environment but we support eachother.  We make sure we're all okay.

"For me, it's all about giving back to the community and the Relationships I have gained throughout the years.  Outside of the job I like to be involved in charities.  I raised money for Wounded Warriors.  We also raise money for Red Cross.  Even this weekend we did the St. Jude walk.  I'll be doing Pride for Orlando to show support.

Jason:                             "Do you have any other Passions or Life Goals and if so what are they?

Zalime:

"I am embarking on a new journey.  I am working for a Credit Repair Business and helping people to get back on their feet.  I would love to be the  Ambassador of a Company.  I also love to Model.  I am currently competing for the Cover of MAXIM Magazine."

Jason:                            "For those that are inspired by you and would like to chase their dreams and achieve their Life Goals what advice would you give them that would help them to be successful?"

Zalime:

"Identify what your goals are.  Create a list of the goals they want to accomplish.  Prioritize.  Set a Timeline.  Then go after it.  Don't stop!  Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it or that you're not good enough.  You're going to have setbacks.  You're going to lose Friends.  There's nothing worse than not going for your dreams.

"Recently I was competing to be on the Cover of MAXIM Magazine. I had Professional photos done of myself wearing bathing suits, and other types of photos.  The current Company I worked for disapproved of some of photos because the photos didn't uphold the Company Brand's Image.  I had to choose between upholding the Company's Image or chasing my Dreams.  I chose to chase my Dreams.  I had to disassociate myself with the Company, Colleagues, and Friends that I have gained over the years working for the Company.  I use that as my Fuel.  I keep it in the back of my mind to keep moving forward.  These things needed to happen to see who really has my back."

Jason:                                "You are very motivating. For those that would love to support you how can they do so and what is the best way for them to contact you?"

Zalime:

"Social media is a great way to reach me.  Instagram.  Linkedin.  If anyone needs help with their credit feel free to contact me.  You can vote for me to be on the cover of MAXIM Magazine.  I would appreciate it.  If you know of any Sponsors that would also be a great help.  Thank you."

"BONUS OCTOBER" by Jason Foss

                            "BONUS OCTOBER"

Today is the beginning of Bonus October! If I asked you if you know anyone that's going through a lot of stress in their life who comes to mind?

This month I would like to help that person and at the same time show you my appreciation. Stress is affecting people every day. It attacks people we care about. Today we fight back!

How can we do that? By replacing that person you are thinking about's stress with overwhelming kindness.

Having a low rate of just $120 for a full year of Life Coaching is not enough. After Interviewing and speaking to some of these Great Leaders on Linkedin I realize I can do more. I need to meet you halfway. Literally!

So by you trusting me by Referring one person I'm giving you a $20 Commission and a $40 Bonus. So you will not only be helping a Friend or loved one that is dealing with stress but you will make $60 dollars a person just for giving someone the support they need.

Use that $60 dollars for Halloween decorations, save it, take someone out, or give it back to the person you are worried about.  You made a difference in that person's life so you deserve to decide.

And that person you send my way will be in good hands.  I'm going to give them my eBook "The Hourglass", and my two motivational eBooks that are available on Amazon, for Free too!

I have 24 concepts and motivating tactics that I will give them all throughout the year.  They will be so focused on improving their situation that Stress will no longer be in control.  They will.  Have a nice October!
