Gemma Lawrence "Blood Of My Blood" An Interview with Gemma Lawrence by Jason E. Foss

                                                                                GEMMA LAWRENCE

"Great Authors are very important to us all.  They give us something that we need when we are looking for encouragement.  They give us a story that can inspire us to be brave in times in life when we are being tested.  For whatever reason they write one thing I notice is their commitment to the Reader that they are giving them their all.  Gemma Lawrence is one of these great Authors.  She let us know what motivated her."

                                                                                                            Jason E. Foss

Jason:                                   "What motivated you to write  "Blood Of My Blood"?"

Gemma:

""Blood of my Blood" is book six in a series on Elizabeth I that I am writing. When I read one-book accounts of the lives of famous women, I felt so much was left out. I therefore decided to do a series of books on women I admired from history. This book is the latest in Elizabeth's story, and I am working on the next, The Spider's Web, at the moment."

Jason:                                    "What characteristic of Elizabeth can you relate to the most and why?"

Gemma:

"To me, Elizabeth is first and foremost a survivor, and that is what I admire the most about her. She faced prejudice, death and danger, and did it all with wit and balance. I'm not sure that is something we have in common, as I can hardly claim to have faced the dangers she has, but I do think my sense of humour helps me out in times of trial."

Jason:                                     "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "Blood Of My Blood"."

Gemma:

"Blood of my Blood covers a period of danger for Elizabeth. She is queen, and has been for a decade, but the book opens with the massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve in France, when Catholics rose against their Protestant neighbours, and more than ten thousand people died. Sparked by an assassination, the massacre was a terrible event, and Elizabeth faced the possibility the same might occur in England. Religious stability had been her goal for years, and at this stage her settlement and the peace of her country comes under threat. This is also the time she unleashes Francis Drake upon the world, when the English first properly began to explore the world, and when she faced the greatest challenge of her personal life. An interesting time, indeed!"

Jason:                                      "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"

Gemma:

"I am always working on another book! My main issue is that I have too many ideas for my hands to write. The next book I have coming out is part of a two-part series on Catherine Howard, fifth wife of Henry VIII. After that will come a fairy-story re-telling, and then will come The Spider's Web. I also have the second part of a fantasy series, Farm Land, coming out this year. I am prolific, but writing is honestly my life."

Jason:                                        "For those that want to read your book what is the easiest way to buy "Blood Of My Blood"?"

Gemma:

"The best way to buy my book is through Amazon. The US link is, https://t.co/4ko2jYx6J4 but it can be bought on any platform, if a reader searches for the title, or my name, G. Lawrence"

                                                                                      CLOSING

"Gemma Lawrence was motivated to write about women she admired from history.  She felt that so much was left out from their story.  One of my favorite qualities about great Authors is they always seem to write with a Purpose.  They don't just write just to write.  They have something important behind it.  For Gemma she knows so much about the women in history and she is able to give the Reader not only a great story but she makes sure that she will not leave anything out.  Gemma really gave me a good idea of what to expect from her book when she said 'Writing is honestly her life'.  When you read a Gemma Lawrence book she is going to give you everything she's got.  Click on the Link above and buy "Blood Of My Blood"."
