H.E. Wilburson "The Day Of The Martians" An Interview with H.E. Wilburson by Jason E. Foss

                                                                                    H.E. WILBURSON

"Great Authors have many qualities and one of those great qualities is to write with a sense of Purpose.  They can take on the toughest writing project but their love for what they are writing conquers any fear of letting anyone down.  They have this vision for what they want and they execute it.   They are passionate about the story and believe in it so much that the Reader feels their passion in every single page.  That's what Readers want.  They want to connect with the story.  And when you have an Author that gives themself this responsibility of giving their very best in every chapter the Reader will notice that what they are reading was done with care.  That lazer type focus to create something that will draw you in is a special talent especially when they don't do it for acknowledgement but for their love of writing.  H.E. Wilburson is one of these great Authors.  He let us know what motivated him."

                                                                                                           Jason E. Foss

Jason:                                "What motivated you to write 'The Martian Diaries'?"

H.E.

"I have always loved 'The War Of The Worlds' by H.G.Wells, and felt I wanted to write a sequel to it. I hope that 'The Martian Diaries' is a seamless continuation of Wells' invasion story, both as a prequel and sequel. I have attempted to answer many of the questions that I feel Wells left unresolved in his original book, so that hopefully by the end of my trilogy, the classic 'The War Of The Worlds' has been concluded in a way that Wells himself would have been happy with."

Jason:                                  "Which character can you relate to the most and why?"

H.E.

"Good question. It's not the same as liking a character. I think I relate more to the narrator who is a writer too.  He becomes involved in a new engagement with Martians,  and although he is not the heroic type he tries to do his best even when things don't go to plan."

Jason:                                     "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe 'The Martian Diaries'."

H.E.

"'The Martian Diaries' is my explanation of why the Martians came to Earth in H.G.Wells' original story and about how humans perceive their own existence within the universe. Ultimately it is about hope, even in the most hopeless of scenarios."

Jason:                                         "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"

H.E.

"I am in the final stages of finishing book 2 of the trilogy, entitled 'Lake On The Moon', which like the first book 'The Day Of The Martians', includes my own original music. At over 5 hours it is a longer and darker part of the series. It opens at the time of H.G.Wells' original Martian invasion, and contains a prequel to his story. I continue with the original primary characters, through the aftermath of World War 1 and an even more sinister engagement with Martians in 1919. It sets up the events to come in the final book 'Gateway to Mars'. If I have done my job well, listeners should find 'Lake On The Moon' resonates even more closely with 'The War Of The Worlds'."

Jason:                                           "For those that want to read your book what is the easiest way to buy 'The Martian Diaries'."

H.E.:

"Currently the audiobook is available on Amazon (Audible) here mybook.to/thedayofthemartians but also on iTunes, Audiobooks.com and Google Play. It will shortly be available on CD.

                                                                                     CLOSING

"H.E. Wilburson's love for 'War Of The Worlds' motivated him to not only expand on the story but to also give us his own touch so we can also appreciate his creative talents as well.  My favorite thing about this great Author is his humility.  He uses words like 'attempt' to answer any unresolved questions or he 'hopes' that his trilogy will be concluded in a way that Wells himself would have been happy with.  Not only did he write a great story but he did it selflessly with Wells and his love for 'War Of The Worlds' in the back of his mind.  And when someone writes with a sense of Purpose that is bigger than themself the quality of that book is going to be appreciated to those that read it.  Click on the link above and buy "The Day Of The Martians"."
