"Get Your Name Out There." An Interview with Nancy Cammarata by Jason E. Foss

                   NANCY CAMMARATA

"The Journey towards success is not always smooth.  The more difficult the dream, the more difficult the road.  There is one thing that can change the many obstacles on your path towards success,  opportunity.  Reaching out to Nancy Cammarata is like reaching out to opportunities.  In life, we all want something.  What do you want?  Ask yourself that question.  There are successful people that have a passion for finding you the direction that gets you what you want.  Nancy Cammarata is one of these Great Leaders.  She let's us know what motivates her."

Jason:            You are an inspiration to a lot of people.  Your high energy and passion for helping people is so valuable in Business and in Life.  You never seem to lose that drive to give it your all.  What is your motivation?

Nancy:

Well, I lost my father in high school. He had passed away from cancer, but growing up, him and my mother were so generous. They always shared the wealth and taught me the importance of giving back, especially to those in need. I took those values and principles with me throughout life.  I want to be able to not only make him proud but also be able to motivate and inspire others with my story.  That it doesn’t matter what setbacks or challenges you’ve faced- you gotta keep moving.  If you’re in a place in life where you can help others,  whether it be financially or with your time, do it. One of my favorite quotes is “No man is an island.”  We really are all in this together.

Jason:             You are very good at what you do and there are a lot of qualities one must have to be successful.  What do you feel is the best characteristic to have in order to be successful?

Nancy:

There’s a lot of attributes that can make someone successful but you have to have the drive and the passion to want to get there.  There’s probably a lot of roles that I could do, but wouldn’t be successful at if I didn’t care about the mission.  If you care about what you’re putting out into the world, you will always be successful.  You’ve gotta do something that sets your soul on fire.  Otherwise, you’ll be doomed to feeling miserable in your current role.

Jason:       Do you have any other Passion or Life Goals and if so what are they?

Nancy:

My biggest goal in life is to be able to help others.  Point blank, no matter where I end up career wise or in my own personal life, if I can be the person who was able to change just one persons life, I’ll be set.

Jason:            For those that are inspired by you and would like to chase their dreams and achieve their Life Goals what advice would you give them that would help them to be successful?

Nancy:

"Find what makes you happy. Sounds cliche but it’s true.  If you’re not excited or passionate about your work, it’ll always be mediocre.  If you have trouble figuring that out, ask yourself, what are your favorite hobbies and why are they your favorite?  Does it involve solving puzzles? You may be great at a career based in data or mathematics.  Do you enjoy talking with others and helping them?  You’d probably be good at event planning.  Everyone in life has a different life path, but once you figure out what you like/dislike, finding the right career comes next.  Also, and I cannot stress this enough: NETWORK.  Volunteer.  Go to professional meetings with local businesses. Get your name out there.  Sometimes it’s about knowing the right person.

Jason:          You are very motivating.  For those that would love to support you how can they do so and what is the best way for them to contact you?

Nancy:

That means a lot, thank you. I’m always available by Linkedin Messaging. Feel free to reach out and we can always chat!  I get a lot of messages on there but when I do have free time I love to connect with people ready for that right career change or who maybe need some helpful advice in other areas.
