Linda Anthony Hill "The Anchor Is The Key" An Interview with Linda Anthony Hill by Jason E. Foss

                                                                              LINDA ANTHONY HILL

"Great Authors have the talent already.  Sometimes it is just a matter of time or just the right opportunity.  It can come from a dream, an idea, or even from someone else that notices the gift that great Author has.  Once they put their story on paper or on that computer monitor or any device nowadays the rest is history.  They only seem to get better and better.  Their craft gets sharper and sharper and their imagination and gift of writing a story only gets better in time.  Linda Anthony Hill is one of these great Authors.  She let us know what motivated her"

                                                                                                     Jason E. Foss

Jason:                 "What motivated you to write "The Anchor Is The Key"?"

"I had written a books worth of short stories and my writing group encouraged me to take a shot at a full length novel. I totally pantsed it, but was very happy with the outcome."

Jason:                 "What characteristic of Celeste can you relate to the most and why?"

"Celeste is a strong woman that loves men, but doesn't need them. She's capable and smart, college education, can think on her feet and sees the good in others without trying. She is however a little stuck in the 20th century."

Jason:                 "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "The Anchor Is The Key"."

"The Anchor is the Key is a Cozy Mystery Ghost Story. Madam Celeste is a capable psychic that sees and communicates with ghosts on a daily basis. She does her best to help them and the people that they are "haunting"."

"One day she gets drawn into a murder mystery and meets some unusually interesting spirits. During this time she also takes on an apprentice who will prove to be more talented than Celeste."

Jason:                  "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?

"My Work in Progress is another book about Madam Celeste and her apprentice. At the moment the name of the book is The Spider House, but I think that will change. This book is a little darker than The Anchor is the Key. As implied there are a large number of spiders involved. But there is also an entity who can cause even spirits to hallucinate. The plot thickens when a tracker finds evidence of a gray wolf in the area. The book is finished and is in the rewrite stage with hundreds of comments and suggestions from my Beta Reader. Hopefully it will publish by September with Black Rose Writing who also published The Anchor is the Key."

Jason:                  "For those that want to read your book what is the easiest way to buy "The Anchor Is The Key"?"

"All my books are available on  You can read the first 3 or 4 chapters of The Anchor is the Key for free by going here. …

I write ghost stories because I own a famous haunted house. Check it out on Youtube as well. Lots of interesting stories. I also have a non-fiction book entitled Hill House Manor: The Guest Book which is a collection of true ghost stories from the Manor.

"Linda Anthony Hill was motivated by her writing group.  Her books of short stories gained the encouragement of her writing group and the results were proven a success.  This Author has a great original ghost story that will keep the Reader's attention.  She knows her main character very well.  If you like ghost stories why not make your next Mystery Ghost Story come from someone that owns her own Haunted House!  Her writing group did us all a great service by recognizing this Authors amazing talent.  Thankfully her Novel is now available.  Click on the Link above and buy "The Anchor Is The Key"."
