"The Hourglass Elite Author of 2019 Tournament"

"THE HOURGLASS ELITE AUTHOR OF 2019 TOURNAMENT"

                                                                                       PRESEASON

10 Great Authors already entered "The Hourglass Elite Author of 2019 Tournament" to enjoy Preseason.  This is going to be a fun year for everyone!  In December I had the Honor of Interviewing over 50 Amazing Authors and one thing I learned about each and every one of them was they have a Passion for their craft!  They believe in their books the same way an NBA Player believes in the hard work and dedication it takes everytime they pick up that basketball and try to win the Championship at the end of each year.  Then I said to myself.  Authors accomplish so much let's make their accomplishments matter throughout the year in the same way that NBA wins matter to basketball players.  So just like in sports it's early in the year and here are the Authors that entered so far during Preseason.

Representing the West Coast:    Jennifer Irwin.            "A Dress The Color Of The Sky"

                                                         Tia Day.                         "Lucy's Legacy"

                                                         Martha Perez.             "In The Dark"

                                                         Sherrie Brown.           "Samantha: Time Travel"

Nicole Sorrell.             "The Art Of Going Home"

Representing the East Coast:     Carolyn Bowen:          "The Long Road Home"

Amy J. Markstahler.  "Life Happens On The Stairs"

Representing the UK:                  A.R. Pearson.              "The Wayfarer's Journey"

Representing Canada:                N.M. McGregor.          "West End Montana"

                                                        J.C. Paulson.                 "Broken Through"

The Authors in "The Hourglass Elite Author of 2019 Tournament" all have the same qualities that star Athletes have.  They have the same Passion for their books that Athletes have for their sport.  They are competing at a high level against some great Authors just like Athletes compete sharing a mutual respect for each other.  The Author is the star player just like the star of a sport.  Their book cover is the equivalent to the basketball jersey.  Just like Michael Jordan played for the Chicago Bulls Tia Day is playing for her book "Lucy's Legacy".  Each Author involved knows the rules of the game and they are getting good at it as we speak.  If you are an amazing Author and you have a Passion for your Book reach out to me and join these great Authors in a Tournament while it's Preseason.  You will get new sales and Purchase confirmations throughout the year and it would count for something 'extra'.  If you are passionate about your book and would like to compete with these amazing Authors and get some extra fun promotion and exposure in the process call me at your convenience.

E.H. Night "A Stray, Astray" An Interview with E.H. Night by Jason E. Foss

                                                                                         E.H. NIGHT

"Great Authors can perform a juggling act of the mind.  They can create the time and place, the perfect characters, the perfect story, and keep everything interesting for as many chapters as it takes.  E.H. Night is one of those great Authors.  She has the ability to control the way a creative story is written but stays flexible enough to let it take on a life of it's own.  She let us know what motivated her."

Jason:                   " What motivated you to write "A Stray, Astray"?"

E.H.

"I had been watching documentaries one night and stumbled upon one about the Great Plague of 1665. I found myself wondering about the impact that it must have had on relationships, so I decided to study the event more. From there, I came up with characters and a plot. The book started out as a sweet love story, but it quickly turned into something darker and deeper."

Jason:                   "What character can you relate to the most and why?"

E.H.:

"I relate mostly to Helen, at least toward the beginning of the book. I used some of my own conflicting emotions and frustrating traits to develop her. Instead of keeping her thoughts completely on track, I let her mind wander as my own might have wandered. Most of us aren’t completely stable beings when put into uncomfortable situations, so I allowed her sanity to falter as things progressed."

Jason:                    "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "A Stray, Astray"."

E.H.:

"A Stray, Astray is a story of betrayal, jealousy, love, and injustices during the plague. It takes place in London during the 17th century, when the poor were thought of as less than human. The book follows Helen as she attempts to climb the social ladder while being repeatedly reminded of her station in life by those around her. As she buries her loved ones, her priorities begin to change. She no longer worries about wealth and status; she only wants revenge."

Jason:                      "Are you working on another book and if so what can you share with us about it?"

E.H.:

"I’m currently working on a mystery/thriller. It takes place in the midwest during the late 80’s. I expect to be finished with it by March."

Jason:                       "For those that want to read your book what is the easiest way they can buy "A stray, Astray"?"

E.H.:

"It is available on Amazon at the moment. I offer an ebook version and a paperback version."

                                                                                      CLOSING

"E.H. Night was motivated after watching documentaries about the Great Plague of 1665.  From there she studied the event even more.  Once she was able to get a visual of how that moment in time must have been her imagination took over.  One of my favorite qualities of E.H. Night is her flexibility.  Her ability to start the book as a love story but to allow the darker and deeper realities of the Plague to take over.  Her main character and the different emotions throughout this book eliminates the vague text book and newspaper versions of the Plague and she takes you inside with so much detail.  In their homes.  In their families.  You will feel their desperation and the transition from living comfortably to just wanting to survive.  Click on the Link above and buy "A Stray, Astray."

Gerri Bowen "Serenity: Acceptance And Love" (Love In Gettis Book 3) An Interview with Gerri Bowen by Jason E. Foss

                                                                                     GERRI BOWEN

"There are some elements a Great Author must have.  There comes a point in their life where they realize that they were meant to be an Author.  They must be creative enough to build a world inside of a great book.  They have this ability to create characters that come alive in the story.  Not only do they successfully figure out how many pieces to the puzzle they need to make the story work.  They figure out where each piece goes perfectly!  Gerri Bowen is one of these great Authors.  She let us know what motivated her."

                                                                                                   Jason E. Foss

Jason:                     "What motivated you to write "Serenity: Acceptance And Love" (Love In Gettis Book 3)?"

Gerri:

"My thoughts about a book included a Dane and a Union Civil War doctor. And it was to be a time travel. After more thought, I wanted it to also be present day. So that is how "Escape To Gettis...And Love", book one in my trilogy, came about. And Gettis actually means Gettysburg."

Jason:                      "What character can you relate to the most and why?"

Gerri:

"There is no one character I relate to more than another, rather, as I write them I become them and then write how I think they'd react."

Jason:                        "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "Serenity: Acceptance And Love" (Love In Gettis Book 3)?"

Gerri:

"Escape to Gettis...And Love" is a time travel with paranormal elements and humor, and the focus is on family and love."

"Discovery and Love...In Gettis" is book two, and continues the stories within the family and David, the civil war doctor transported back in time, and then forward to modern time. He had a difficult time of it. But he learns quickly."

Jason:                       "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?

Gerri:

"A book I wrote before the Gettis series is "Loves Blood", and has some characters that I brought in for my Gettis books."

Jason:                      "For those that want to read your book what is the easiest way they can buy "Serenity: Acceptance And Love" (Love In Gettis Book 3)?"

Gerri:

"Gerri Bowen was motivated by Time Travel and Modern Day.  She also made sure to include a Dane and a Union Civil War doctor.  She knew what she wanted.  That is the perfect recipe for a great book.  I loved her answer when I asked her which one of her characters can she relate to the most.  Her answer was none.  She said as she writes them she becomes them.  That is an amazing way to write.  Her characters are all solid and she doesn't treat any better then the next.  With that focus no wonder she has great Reviews.  Click on the links above and buy "Serenity: Acceptance and Love (Love in Gettis Book 3).

Liza O' Connor "A Better Life" An Interview with Liza O'Connor by Jason E Foss

                                                                                     LIZA O' CONNOR

"Great Authors are capable of doing great things.  They can give us a great escape from the real world.  Or they can give us a story that can add some spice and adventure into our own life as soon as we read their book.  No matter what these great stories do for us it is safe to say that they are creative.  They know their characters almost as if they really exist.  And the Reader sometimes feels the same way after the book is read.  Liza O' Connor is one of those great Authors.  She writes with high energy.  She has a Passion for writing and she is one of the most hard-working Authors out there.  With over 50 of her books available on Amazon Liza let us know what motivated her."

                                                                                                     Jason E. Foss

Jason:                   "What motivated you to write "A Better Life"?"

Liza:

"A Better Life is the third book of a series called Angel’s Trials. I needed to give Angel a REAL happy ending this time. After all she has been through, she deserved a truly happy ending."

Jason:                    "What character can you relate to the most and why?"

Liza:

"Oh, Angel for certain. She is a survivor, even when the men in her life do horrible things.  My own trail of men has been painful, so we can relate. However, I’ll admit she has more trouble than I did. However, that just makes me grateful."

Jason:                     "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "A Better Life"."

Liza:

"It’s about a woman who has loved and lost a great deal. The man she first loved (Bk1) died. Another man declares his love for her. (He’s actually the one who murdered her first love, but she doesn’t know that, so don’t tell her.) When she fails to give her new husband a child, he dumps her for her best friend. When the girl friend can’t give him a child, he kidnaps Angel’s boy. And while she gets her son back, it terrified her. Due to all these issues, she gathers a great many men to love her. That way if one man betrays her, she’ll still have someone who will love her. Unfortunately, her next husband is a SADIST. So while he declares he loves her, he puts her into a secret FBI bunker, where she is daily tortured. However, when she becomes pregnant, she demands her release.  Which brings us to the current book...."

"The Sadist loses all interest in Angel now that he can’t torture her."

"Angel has three boys now... none of which are the Sadist’s."

"Book 3 starts in high action":

"Her home is under attack. Angel runs to the basement to hide and to her shock, she is swiftly removed by FBI agents through a tunnel she knew nothing about. They take her to an underground compound where she will live for the rest of her life. She balks, declaring she never agreed to that. The Commander’s response is a clear threat: “You are legally dead. If you wish, we can kill you painlessly to make it so.”

"Thus, Angel regroups, and tries to make the best of matters. They return not just her kids, but two kids of one of her lovers as well. Angel loves children. Sadly, she has to spend most of her time uncovering money from criminals, jihadists, and I’m sorry to say: politicians."

"No one can find money better than Angel. She has a sixth sense as she works through the electronic documents. The bad guys cannot outwit Angel. She will find their begotten gains, no matter how well they hide them."

Jason:                         "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"

Liza:

"I publish a book a month. I am presently working on my 2020 books."

"How can I do that? You ask. Simple, I did nothing but write books and walk my dog for 10 years. Those were my prolific years. Now, I will write a couple of books each year, but mostly, I improve books I wrote back then and publish them."

"I am always working on several books. I presently have 53 books on Amazon. I write in many different genre’s: Contemporary Romance/Suspense,  Contemporary Humor, Sci Fi Humor, Sci Fi Romance, A ten book Sleuth series: The Adventures of Xavier & Vic (Vic is a young woman, who dresses like a young man.),  Historical Romances, Paranormal, Leaving Earth series, and more."

Jason:                          "For those who want to read this book what is the easiest way they can buy "A Better Life"?"

"Liza was motivated by her need to give her main character Angel the happy ending that she deserves.  Liza's work ethic is incredible.  I really appreciate how Liza gave us a great description of what happens to Angel in the previous Books so that if you decide to read "A Better Life" (Book 3 of the Angel's Trials) first you won't feel lost.  She knows her main character so well.  Add that with the excitement she shows while describing her book gives you an idea how much passion she put into it.  The Reader will easily feel it as they read it.  Thankfully for us the action is going to start on the very first page.  Click on the link above and buy "A Better Life" by Liza O' Connor."

Debbie Boek "Devil's Bait" An Interview with Debbie Boek by Jason E. Foss

                                                                                       DEBBIE BOEK

"Great Authors can write in a way that can capture your attention.  They are creative and masterful with their words.  My favorite Authors tend to be those that write about something that they are passionate about or really believe in.  That's when they tend to put their all and then some in the story.  When an Author has an idea or believe in a book they are about to write the story is going to be so believable because the Author believes in it.  The story is going to come alive in their minds and then it is going to come alive into the book.  Debbie Boek is one of those great Authors.  She let us know what motivated her."

                                                                                                     Jason E. Foss

Jason:                  "What motivated you to write Devil’s Bait?"

Debbie:

"I love ghost stories and stories about haunted houses. I also found it fascinating to read about how animals are so much more attuned to the supernatural than people are. The plan was to write a novel mainly about what happened to this family’s pets, and subsequently to the family, when they moved into a haunted house. But the story took on a life of its own and, although there are situations involving the Draper’s pets, the main theme of the book ended up being much different than I originally intended."

Jason:                    "What characteristic of Emma Draper can you relate to the most and why."

Debbie:

"I think the characteristic about Emma that I most admire is her courage. She’s a woman who has become disenchanted with her life and realizes there should be more to it than she is experiencing. Things get even more complex when a rift develops between her and her husband and then the Devereaux brothers arrive to help her clean up the demons and ghosts terrorizing her family. Emma has to dig deep for the courage to face those entities for the sake of protecting her family, and also to figure out what is most important in her life right now, and what she is willing to do for love. Emma never realizes just how brave she really is, she just does what she has to do."

Jason:                       "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe “Devil’s Bait”."

Debbie:

"I probably explained too much of it in the previous answer but, Emma Draper, her husband and three children move into a new home. It isn’t long before odd things begin happening and she realizes it’s haunted. Emma and her husband run into some trouble and she ends up hiring two brothers to help her get rid of the ghosts and demons in the house. While fighting the supernatural, she and one of the brothers start to fall in love, further complicating an already complicated situation. If they can survive the supernatural entities, then they will have to decide what direction the future will lie in."

Jason:                        "Are you working on another book and, if so, what can you share with us about it?"

Debbie:

"The sequel, Devil’s Retribution, was released in 2018. The Devereaux brothers return and this story takes place in the middle of a horrific blizzard. Not only does it involve human drama between the main characters, but bootleggers who want to see the brothers dead and Bigfoot, who has his own vendetta against the two of them. It is a fast-paced, suspenseful story and I had a lot of fun writing it."

"I am currently working on the third installment and hope to have that published within the next couple of months. The main characters will return and this time they are dealing with a Black Ghost Dog and a witch, and one of them may not survive the encounter."

Jason:                          "For those that want to read your book, what is the easiest way to buy Devil’s Bait?"

Debbie:                       Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com and Kobo.com.

Debbie's love of ghost stories and stories about haunted houses motivated her to write "Devil's Bait".  She is also fascinated by how pets are more attuned to the supernatural than people are.  There are many things that I enjoyed hearing about Debbie and her book but two things in particular.   The fact that she started out with a plan on how the Novel was going to be but the story took on a life of it's own.  Also, the fact that the main theme of the book ended up being much different than she originally intended.  Her flexibility and willingness to change her original ideas allows her creativity to give her imagination no boundaries.  That's the recipe for a great book.  Click on the link above and buy "Devil's Bait".

Leeann Imel-Hartford "Rambled thoughts" An Interview with Leeann Imel-Hartford by Jason E. Foss

                                                                         LEEANN IMEL-HARTFORD

"Great Authors give us something much more than we can read.  They give us something that we can feel.  They give us something that we can Imagine.  They write in a way that Readers can relate to.  They have the ability to connect with the Reader and give them this sense of hope in realizing that they are not alone.  Leeann Imel-Hartford is one of those great Authors.  She expresses herself so passionately and doesn't hold back giving the Reader everything she's got.  That's all a Reader can ever ask for.  Leeann let us know what motivates her."

                                                                                                     Jason E. Foss

Jason:                      "What motivated you to write the poetry in "Rambled Thoughts"?"

Leeann:

"You are going to laugh, but when I joined Twitter I discovered #HangTenStories. I had dabbled with writing poetry in the past, but it never really took. The stuff I wrote in the past was rather dark. I had been going through a depression filled part of my life and when I was sitting in class, instead of listening to the professor I would write these dark lines of suicide and even my death caused by others. I really didn’t enjoy those lines and it felt forced instead of freeing. I didn’t write very much back then, and I did not keep any of it."

"When I discovered #HangTenStories, the challenge of ten words based on the daily prompt made it fun for me. I enjoyed writing those ten words and looked forward to it every day. I found those ten words to be freeing and liberating, but not in the sense that I needed to be liberated. I always felt I had a voice. But in this case, I was able to go outside of my box and share my thoughts even if it was just ten words. Then as my confidence built, I started writing and posting longer verses and started following other #prompts."

#InkMine is another place where I have found inspiration. I wrote “The Path” with one of their prompts.

#MSpoetry inspired “What Ifs”

"Then I started finding inspiration in my daily life and things just went from there."

Jason:                         "If there was one quote or piece of advice that helped you to get to where you are today what would that quote, or piece of advice be?"

Leeann:

"And as far as writing in general, the greatest advice I ever got was write what you know. You are the expert of your topic whether it is your college thesis or the novel you are working on. No one else knows it better than you. You are the guide, show people the way."

"If you have a vision or a dream, take that first step and start it. A lot of people say that the hardest part of writing a poem or a novel is getting started. Which is true for me as well. The thing that motivates me to keep writing is seeing the words where I least expect them. I see words in photos I have taken, in the clouds, in earth’s elements around me. I see them in my experiences, in the places where I travel, and in the people I meet. It’s just been a beautiful experience that I plan on keeping up with. I have already started thinking of my next poetry project which will consist of my life’s experiences, including the not so glamourous parts."

Jason:                         "For your fans and poetry lovers briefly describe "Rambled Thoughts"."

Leeann:

"It’s a book about eternity and the journey of the soul. It’s about finding your soul mate and the journey it took to get there. It’s about the elements. About life, love, and loss."

Jason:                         "What is one of your favorite lines of poetry that you've written?"

Leeann:

"Spring roses bloom to grace the lovers’ tomb from “Souls Bloom Eternal”. Although it started off quite differently, this line just resonates with me so much as it imparts the shared journey my husband, Brian Dennis Hartford and I’s souls have made traveling the universe throughout the centuries looking for each other."

"Her black Friesian carries her weight but cannot support the loss she feels from “Beautiful Warrior”. This line has strength but vulnerability. The horse symbolizes the outward strength of the character and how, although she is bold and beautiful, she feels that she is not worthy."

"Palms sway to the beat of heaven’s music as the waves keep time from “GoldenEye”. My husband and I were in Jamaica for our anniversary. I am a huge James Bond fan and so we got a day pass to the GoldenEye Resort. When we walked across the bridge from the James Bond Room into the main part of the resort, the view just opened up and these beautiful palm trees were swaying in the breeze and it looked as if they were dancing to the sound of the tropics. I immediately wrote that line in the little journal I keep with me and the poem grew from there."

Jason:                         "Are you working on another book and if so, what can you tell us about it?"

Leeann:

"I have a few projects in the works. I have another poetry book, “She”. It’s about different phases of my life. I have a book series “Service Before Self”, about strong women of various backgrounds who sacrifice everything for their country. And I also have a cookbook, “#SexySunday”, Sunday is my favorite day of the week and the day I do most of my cooking, so it just fits me as a chef. It is more than just a cookbook, #SexySunday is a lifestyle, how you spend the day taking care of yourself and enjoying your family."

Jason:                         "For those that want to read your poetry what is the easiest way they can buy "Rambled Thoughts"?"

Leeann:

"It is available via Amazon print and Kindle."

J.L. Brown "Rule Of Law" An Interview with J.L. Brown by Jason E. Foss

                                                                                      J.L. BROWN

Great Authors have something unique about them that separates them from the rest.  They bring us a new kind of story.  They write with a new kind of Purpose.  J.L. Brown is one of those great Authors.  She does more than create great books but she is one of those people that choose to speak up for those that sometimes are not in a position yet to speak up for themselves.  Kids are being bullied in school and it seems to be happening frequently.  She is using her talents as a successful Author to put a spotlight on these issues.  She let us know what motivates her.

Jason:                "What motivated you to write "Rule Of Law"?

Julie:

"Rule of Law is the sequel to Don’t Speak. In 2010 my wife told me that since I love to read and am always critiquing what I’ve read I should write a book. I responded, in my best Michael Jackson voice, “I’m a reader not a writer”! That night, however, I dreamed about a plot for a novel, including the ending. I woke up the next morning and Googled “how to write a novel” and started the outline for Don’t Speak."

Jason:                  "Describe Special Agent Jade Harrington and which characteristic of hers can you relate to most?"

Julie:

"Jade is a kickass, Army brat who had to overcome tragedy and adversity to become the best at what she does. Sometimes her greatest strengths—her passion for winning, her persistence, her impatience—that make her successful, can be her faults as well. For more insight into Jade’s character, I wrote a short story, Few Are Chosen, a prequel to Don’t Speak, which I released last November."

"I am impatient like Jade. And a badass as well."

Jason:                     "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "Rule Of Law"."

Julie:

"It is best to read the books in order, so I don’t want to give anything away, but the second novel is about how the bullying epidemic within our schools and society touches Jade personally. One out of every five students in the US is bullied. Almost 75% of LGBTQ students are verbally bullied, 36% physically. Almost one third of these students miss at least one day of school a month, because of the fear of being bullied. These are crazy statistics. This issue is so prevalent, but not talked about as much as it should be. And I felt called to write about it. Of course, the current political climate emboldens some bullies with express permission to bully."

Jason:                     "Are you working on another book and if so what can you share with us about it?"

Julie:

"The third book in the Jade Harrington series, The Divide, is coming out in the spring of 2019. Again, I can’t say much, but I can share that Jade chases an elusive serial killer, whose victims all have one thing in common. They’re all wealthy and one-percenters."

Jason:                       "Where can those that want to read your book go to buy "Rule Of Law"?"

Julie:

"Don’t Speak (http://bit.ly/JadeDont), Rule of Law(bit.ly/JadeRule), and Few Are Chosen(bit.ly/JadeFew) are available in ebook on Amazon.Don’t Speak and Rule of Law paperbacks are available online wherever books are sold. Don’t Speak is also available on Audible (https://www.audible.com/pd/B06XWGKS45/?source_code=AUDFPWS0223189MWT-BK-ACX0-083221&ref=acx_bty_BK_ACX0_083221_rh_us)."

                                                                                CLOSING

"J.L. Brown was motivated by her wife in 2010.  Julie loved to read and used to critique whatever she read until her wife told her that she should write her own book.  That was a brilliant idea.  She dreamed about a plot for a Novel that same night and she has been doing a great job ever since.  Many people that like to read become the greatest Authors.  She is a great example of that.  There is a saying that 'When you want something done right sometimes you have to do it yourself.  Now instead of being a critic to others work she is perfecting her own and giving Readers what they want.  J.L. Brown writes with a Purpose and continues to speak up against bullying until people finally put a stop to these senseless acts.  Click on the link above and buy "Don't Speak" first and find out for yourself why it has over 200 great reviews."

Petra Van Der Ploeg "An Impossible Truth" An Interview with Petra Van Der Ploeg by Jason E. Foss

                                                                             PETRA VAN DER PLOEG

"Great Authors bring 'Life' into an Idea.  It doesn't matter where that idea came from they will turn that idea into something 'More'.  Their mind goes beyond the boundaries of our imaginations.  They test how far they can go.  And when the Reader reads it, they too feel their imagination expand and test the mirage of limitations.  Petra Van Der Ploeg is one of those great Authors.  She let us know what motivated her."

                                                                                                      Jason E. Foss

Jason:         "What motivated you to write  "An Impossible Truth"?"

Petra:

"Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to write. I’ve been writing all my life, and inspiration for my stories come from all over the place. For An Impossible Truth I was inspired by a dream actually. I don’t remember what that particular dream was about, just that I woke up thinking: what if my dreams were actually real? What if I traveled somewhere instead of staying in my bed during the night?"

Jason:          "What characteristic of Sophia McAllister can you relate to the most and why?"

Petra:

"Sophia reminds me a lot of a younger version of myself. Being afraid to get into a relationship was something I dealt with also. She dreams a lot, as do I. And Sophia’s prone to overthink everything, which I can relate to as well."

Jason:            "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "An Impossible Truth"."

Petra:

"An Impossible Truth is the first book in a pentalogy called The Somnia Series. It tells the story about 26-year-old Sophia McAllister who finds out her dreams are not just dreams; she travels to different realms. In one of those realms she’s 10 years younger and it’s here where she meets Stiles. They instantly have a connection. In her quest to find out what the heck is happening she starts to doubt her own reality, whether the life’s she’s led so far is in fact real."

Jason:             "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"

Petra:

"I’m always working on a next book, ha ha. After releasing An Impossible Truth in 2017 and the second book Fade Into Darkness in 2018, I’m now working on getting the third book, The Shadow’s Charm ready for release in July of this year. This book basically continues the story of Sophia as she finds out more about her powers, and all the realms she visits. This third book has a darker tone than the previous ones and I’m pretty excited to see how my readers will respond to this book."

Jason:               "For those that want to read your book what is the easiest way to buy "An Impossible Truth"?"

Petra:

"Right now, Amazon (link: https://t.co/9cUMRSZfmA)  is the easiest way to buy the paperback versions. If you’d like the e-book version, you can either also go through Amazon or via my own website (link: https://t.co/bNxYfiDiXj).

"Petra was motivated  by a dream.  After her dream she woke up thinking: what if my dreams were actually real?  What if she traveled somewhere instead of staying in her bed during the night?  From that dream she created a Novel.  What I really like about this Author is she had a passion for writing ever since she was a kid.  She knew her calling at a young age and her passion for writing continues to grow each day.  Great Authors like Petra will give the Reader the story they deserve.  That book will open and you will enjoy the ride.  Your imagination will be engaged as each page comes to life before your eyes.  Enjoy the results of a great Author that writes with Passion.  Click on one of the links above and buy "An Impossible Truth".

Jacky Dahlhaus "Living Like A Vampire (Suckers Book 1)". An Interview with Jacky Dahlhaus by Jason E. Foss

                                                                                    JACKY DAHLHAUS

"Great Authors know when it's time for their Journey to begin.  Opportunities may pass but there comes a time when they pick up that pen or type that first sentence.  From that moment on their talent takes over.  Jacky Dahlhaus is one of those great Authors.  Her imagination matches her creative talents and they both work well together to give the Reader a story that keeps them guessing and intrigued throughout her book.  Jacky Dahlhaus let us know what motivated her."

                                                                                                       Jason E. Foss

Jason:                         "What motivated you to write "Suckers: Book 1"?"

Jacky:

"I never had any ambition to write a story, let alone a book!  I had a dream in 2015 about a girl running and bumping into a vampire. They instantly fell in love. I told my kids and they told me to write it down. It turned into my first novel. Although I'm a romantic at heart, I'm not one for soppy love stories. Therefore, I kept my story fast-paced and full of action. I had no idea how to write a book, so the story is completely from the heart. This was a story I would want to read myself. I still don't plan my stories as I like my characters to take over, to surprise me. I think this makes for the best experience for the reader (and myself! 😄)"

Jason:         "Which one of Kate's characteristics can you relate to the most and why?"

Jacky:

"Kate is very impatient and doesn't think before she reacts. That is the part of me I put in her. In Kate's mind, she thinks she's doing the right thing, but she doesn't always think of all the options nor of the consequences 😁. What I can relate to the most, however, is probably her yearning for the man she (thinks she) loves. I remember being in love as a teenager, that all-consuming love for someone you hardly know. Fortunately, I grew out of that and am in a more 'normal' relationship with my husband for almost thirty years now 😄."

Jason:       "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "Living Like A Vampire (Suckers Book 1)"."

Jacky:

"'Living Like A Vampire' is first and foremost a love story, but it is not a soppy, love-at-first-sight/falling in love with a billionaire love story (some think it is, but it is not. Honestly!). The story begins when Kate and her friends, Sue and Charlie, both colleagues and high school teachers, need to flee an upcoming wave of suckers, people infected with a virus that turned them into vampire-like humans. They hide at a campground where they think they are safe... They are not."

"It is fast-paced,  with a balance of humor and horror to keep things from going too dark. It has multiple characters but all is told from Kate's perspective. It is a story that won't appeal to all (it is not one of those 'bare-torso-cover romances),  but it will elicit emotion out of you, whether you want to or not 😆."

Jason:             "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?

Jacky:

"Yes, I'm writing a new book! It's the first of another trilogy. This time, the story plays in Alaska. It's about Ashley, an eighteen-year-old girl who, after learning her boyfriend has cheated on her, drowns and is revived. When she comes to, she recognizes everybody except for one handsome, young man in her community. She also finds out that the people in her boring, isolated town are not what she thinks they are. It's another paranormal romance, this time with not only vampires, but also werewolves, witches, sirens, and zombies."

Jason:           "For those that want to read your book what is the easiest way to buy "Living Like A Vampire (Suckers Book 1)"?"

Jacky:

"All books in the Suckers trilogy, of which 'Living Like A Vampire' is the first, are available on Amazon, Kobo, and Nook."

                                                                             CLOSING

"Jacky Dahlhaus was motivated by a dream about a girl running and bumping into a Vampire.  They instantly fell in love.  She told her kids and her kids told her to write it down.  What I like about this great Author is she created a love story but made sure it wasn't typical.  Her story is fast-paced and she uses  both humor and horror maintaining a perfect balance for the Reader.  What impresses me the most is her ability to take a step back and allow her characters to take over.  Someone with that kind of imagination is going to leave you on a Journey where you can't predict the next page.  That is the kind of adventure that will take your mind on a ride from the very first page.  Click on the link above and buy "Living Like A Vampire (Suckers Book 1)"."

Poulomi Sanyal "Colour Me Confounded" An Interview with Poulomi Sanyal by Jason E. Foss

                                                                                   POULOMI SANYAL

"Great Authors have something in them that stands out.  They can see a million Authors successfully write one way and say to themselves 'I'm going to do it another way.' That bravery expands the imagination and gives the Reader a brand new experience.  Poulomi Sanyal is one of those great Authors that writes with her own map.  She let us know what motivated her."

                                                                                                     Jason E. Foss

Jason:              "What motivated you to write "Colour Me Confounded: A Tale Of Two Tales"?"

Poulomi:

"The idea for Colour Me Confounded came to me from reading books and watching movies about women that fall into either of two categories":

1). Superheroes/celebrities/heiresses/world-leaders
Or
2). Abused/victimized/marginalized/discriminated against

"I wanted to write about women that fall into neither of the above categories and instead about normal, modern day women that you and I could relate to. To me, feminism is not about showing how powerful women can be or on the other end of the spectrum, how left behind they have been over the ages (and continue to be as of today). To me, true feminism is about viewing the world through a woman's eyes—a regular, modern-day woman. It is about depicting her as a human being whose world does not revolve around finding love or raising a family, but like a man's, her life too has all the other critical facets such as career and same sex, platonic friendships, ones that often rock her world. Of course, discrimination and marginalization are very real and these concepts are present as subliminal elements in the book but the clear emphasis is on portraying modern-day women as independent, career-driven individuals who do not conform to any of the gender-based clichés."

Jason:                "What genre(s) do you write?"

Poulomi:

"You can say that I am quite ‘genrefluid’. My first book was a contemporary women’s fiction/romance, but I am currently working on a couple of hard science-fiction series, one of them due soon. I also have a romance title and a poetry collection planned for release in 2019-2020, if all goes well. I often feel that deep down, I am more of a poet than a novelist and in most of my fiction I tend to feature some of my original poetry as well."

Jason:                   "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "Colour Me Confounded"."

Poulomi:

"Colour Me Confounded is a collection of two tales (as the subtitle suggests) but as an author, J.G. MacLeod very eloquently mentioned in her 5-star review of the book on https://t.co/Dnyp87J8LK, “the narratives are thematically connected on a deeper level.” Both stories are about the journeys of professional, immigrant women who struggle to find a balance between their professional and personal lives and juggle the complexities of modern-day friendships and romance."

Jason:                     "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"

Poulomi:

"Yes, absolutely! Several, actually. But the one that is now complete and due for release this spring is called, ‘The Coming of Kalki’. It’s the first book in the Interference series—a series of hard science-fiction, steeped in real science and ancient myth."

"This novel is based on my original, unpublished, research concept arising out of my Ph.D. level research conducted under the Department of Biomedical Engineering at McGill University in Montreal in collaboration with the Montreal Neurological Institute. What I love about this work is that, it combines elements from genuine archaeological findings, ancient myths as well modern neurological research to tell a fantastical story about a transitional age. Here we find humanity on the verge of witnessing a progression from an age of darkness to one of heightened enlightenment. With this series my goal is to propound a gradual movement from a patriarchal, power-driven society to a matriarchal, wisdom-based one."

Jason:                        "For those that want to read your book what is the easiest way they can buy "Colour Me Confounded"?"

Poulomi:

"Colour Me Confounded is available on":

                                   Amazon: https://t.co/TbAiYkBraJ

                                   Barnes & Noble: https://t.co/MdPVolxahV

And at several bookstores in India

                                                                                  CLOSING

"Poulomi Sanyal is motivated by writing in a way of portraying modern-day women as independent, career-driven individuals who do not conform to any of the gender-based clichés.  What I really like about Poulomi Sanyal is how she always read books and watched movies that has women fall into either of two categories.  Great Authors like Poulomi have the ability to say 'I'm going to create a category 3!'  This book has and will continue to empower and motivate women.  Yet Poulomi Sanyal made sure that both stories were unique and interesting so each Reader finishes the book satisfied.  Click on one of the above links and buy "Colour Me Confounded".

E.A. Hemingway "Set Sail" An Interview with E.A. Hemingway by Jason E. Foss

                                                                                 E.A. HEMINGWAY

"Great Authors have this amazing ability to give the Reader an overall unique experience.  Their story starts before the book is even open.  The book cover already enhances the Reader's imagination to the point that they want to walk right into it like it was a Portal.  As soon as they read page one it might as well have been one.  All of a sudden as each chapter is read you feel like you are one of the main characters depending on who you relate to the most.  E.A. Hemingway is one of those Great Authors that takes the Reader into the story before they even open the book and keeps them interested until the very last page is turned.  She let us know what motivated her."

                                                                                                   Jason E. Foss

Jason:                    "What motivated you to write “Set Sail”?"

E.A.:

"I am a huge lover and fan of cruises.  I have always enjoyed being on a hotel of the sea and during my last vacation on a cruise, I came up with the idea of a Singles Cruise theme.  While aboard my family vacation, there were small events they held for “Singles” which were far and few between.  So I researched and saw that they do indeed host Singles Cruises for people to eventually meetup and enjoy themselves while aboard.  It’s like a Tinder meets the Sea.  So Set Sail was born."

Jason:                     "What character can you relate to the most and why?"

E.A.:

"I believe I relate very strongly to Gabrielle’s character.  Although I am not as young as she is, I do have a warped sense of love and romance.  Perhaps, I too, was jaded by the amount of Romance stories I’ve read.  As a huge fan of Jane Austen, I strongly believe that all women secretly pine to find Mr. Darcy."

Jason:                      "For your fans and book lovers, briefly describe “Set Sail.”"

E.A.:

"Sick of her demanding paralegal work and failed dating life in NYC, timid Gabrielle Taylor, after much cajoling, embarks on a Singles Cruise with her best friend. She decided to leave caution to the wind and let Carpe Diem be her motto."

"Billionaire and playboy Julius Pierce is persuaded onto the same cruise to get away from a brewing sexual harassment charge and decides to use a phony persona while on board.  Julius and his best friend intend to enjoy their week of food, overflowing drinks and plenty of single women."

"Gabrielle and Julius’ attraction is immediate and they instantly partake in a lurid affair, though he must continue to lie in order to keep his identity concealed.  After returning from their cruise, Gabrielle is pulled back to the grueling work at her law firm for an emergency meeting only to find her firm represents Julius Pierce in his harassment lawsuit.  With his identity now revealed, Gabrielle is heartbroken and furious that she was duped."

"With his cover now blown, Julius must convince not only Gabrielle that his feelings for her were genuine but that he is also innocent from scandal."

Jason:                           "Do you have another book you’re working on and if so what can you tell us about it?"

E.A.:

"Yes.  I am currently working on the sequel to “Set Sail” titled, “Set Straight.”  So far I love the direction I am taking in and hopefully you will as well.  I can’t give too many details or it will spoil a bit of the ending of “Set Sail,” so stay tuned…pun intended. J"

Jason:                           "For those that want to read your book, what is the easiest way for them to buy “Set Sail”?"

E.A.:

"Set Sail will be available, if all the stars are aligned, for immediate download on all platforms by January 15th."

                                                                                     CLOSING

"So E.A. Hemingway was motivated by an idea she came up with of a Singles Cruise Theme.  The book cover is very inviting and it has a vacation vibe to it. The book cover matches this novel perfectly!  She puts the Reader in 'vacation mode' before they even start to read.  I always hear from plenty of Authors to write about what you know.  She loves cruising so this Novel is going to be very detailed and I am certain the Reader is going to feel as if they are on the Cruise.  Add that with the unique story line of a singles cruise getaway that starts out with a fake name, lust, love, drama, and passion I can easily see this Novel being a page turner.  On Jan. 15th go to Amazon.com and buy "Set Sail" by E.A. Hemingway."
