Melisa Quigley. An Interview with Melisa Quigley by Jason E. Foss

                                                                                  MELISA QUIGLEY

"Great Authors always had a way of creating great stories and bringing their ideas to life.  Before their first Novel they already possess these unique qualities that stand out.  Their love of writing was always there months many times even years before we get the opportunity to read their work.  Melisa Quigley are one of these talented Writers that has those unique qualities.  She has a great website where she is helping others improve their poetry, short stories, and writing skills.  Everything about her site is based on helping others.  She let us know if anything motivates her to write."

                                                                                                 Jason E. Foss

Jason:                                "What motivates you to write?"

Melisa:

"Nothing motivates me to write though once I start something I like to see it through to completion. When I turned 12, I received a diary for Christmas and I’ve been writing in one ever since. I think reading and writing go hand-in-hand and love pen on paper and like all forms of writing."

Jason:                                  "What poem of yours is your favorite and why?"

Melisa:

"I don’t have a favourite poem. I love reading Anne Sexton and Sylvia Plath’s poems because they are filled with anguish and turmoil of the human spirit."

Jason:                                  "What advice would you give someone that has Big dreams and wants to be successful?"

Melisa:

"Writing isn’t easy. If anyone says it is don’t believe them. Don’t be in a hurry to publish or let anyone pressure you. Put your manuscript away for three months and then read it again before sending it anywhere or self-publishing. To gain exposure, write a poem, flash fiction, or short story and send your work out to be published in anthologies. I send my work out and have had more rejections than acceptances. Writing isn’t for the faint hearted. You will be rejected as well as accepted but hang in there and never give up. Joining a writing group is invaluable because people will give you feedback about your writing and pick up points that you may not have realized."

Jason:                                   "Are you working on a book and if so what can you tell us about it?"

Melisa:

"I’m currently working on my debut novel. It’s about a homosexual boy whose friend disappears and comes back eleven years later. You’ll have to buy the book to find out more about the story when it’s published."

Jason:                                    "For those that would love to read your work what is the easiest way to support your written works and writing talents?"

Melisa:

"I think the best way to support any author’s written work or writing talent is to buy their book and write an honest review."

                                                                                         CLOSING

"Nothing motivates Melisa Quigley to write.  However once she starts writing something she likes to see it through completion.  I appreciate Melisa for her honest answer that nothing motivates her to write.  It opens our mind with the fact that although motivation is very important in a lot of things that we accomplish it is not always the reason behind it.  She has been writing since she was 12 and her Passion for writing has been growing ever since.  It's very exciting to see someone that has made writing a part of her life for so many years finishing up her debut novel.  She has a quality website that is very informative and centers around helping others perfect their craft.  Look out for the future release date of her debut Novel.  In the meantime make sure to check in monthly by clicking the link above to her website.

Jason:                                    "What motivated you to write "The Valentine"?"

Elizabeth:

"'The Valentine'  was originally going to be a Christmas story for an anthology,  but the anthology was canceled and so, I reworked the story turning it into a Valentine's romance. :)"

Jason:                                     "What characteristic of Madeline can you relate to the most and why?"

Elizabeth:

"I think Madeline is very similar to me when I was her age, she's got her head in the clouds and  wants to find that one person she is meant to be with and ended up meeting him in an unexpected manner. I was and still am a day dreamer, and a romantic."

Jason:                                       "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "The Valentine"."

Elizabeth:

"The Valentine is a sweet Regency Romance. Its a love at first sight and fight to be together kind of story despite the odds, or in this case society and her father's displeasure."

Jason:                                         "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"

Elizabeth:

"I have a few plans for more Regency Sweet stories,  however I just published book 5 of my YA paranormal romance series, so I am taking a short break from writing.  I hope to get back to it by summer. 😁"

Jason:

                                                                             CLOSING

"This great book by Elizabeth A. Lance was originally supposed to be a Christmas story for an anthology but it was cancelled.  That motivated her to rework the story by turning it into a Valentine's Romance.  That is exactly what I like most about this great Author.  What a waste that would have been if she would have just allowed that cancellation to end everything.  Instead she breathed life into it and took it to another level.  This Author admits to being a day dreamer and a romantic. She thinks just like them and she knows what they want.  That's why whenever a Reader that wants to be swept off their feet with a good love story goes to Elizabeth A. Lance.  Click on the link above and buy "The Valentine"."

Candra Baguley "Transmissions To Titan" An Interview with Candra Baguley by Jason E. Foss

                                                                                CANDRA BAGULEY

"Great Authors have many qualities that make them successful.  One of the most important things they must have is the belief in their idea.  Sure, sometimes you can rely on talent alone and still create a book that may sell.  However when you believe in what you are writing.  When you think of your main characters morning, noon, and night until that book is complete.  In the end of all that hard work when that book is available it will show amazing results.  Candra Baguley is one of those great Authors.  She let us know what motivated her."

                                                                                                    Jason E. Foss

Jason:                                          "What motivated you to write " Transmissions to Titans"?"

Candra:

"A friend of mine passed away in 2017, giving me the idea of uploading memories and living forever as AI. I wrote this book because I felt like I’m not the only one who wishes for such things.

Jason:                                          "What character can you relate to the most and why?"

Candra:

"Wow, that’s a good question. I’d say the character I relate to the most is Leinani. She has these moments when she lets go and enjoys the moment. However, she is much smarter than me."

Jason:                                           "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "Transmissions To Titans".

Candra:

"Transmissions to Titan follows four people as they prepare to leave Earth and humanity behind to live for eternity as AI on Titan."

Jason:                                           "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"

Candra:

" I’m writing Resist Titan - the sequel to T2T. This picks up where the first book left off."

Jason:                                         "For those that want to read your book what is the easiest way to buy "Transmissions To Titans"?"

Candra:

"The easiest way to buy it would be to download it for free on Smashwords and those who like it can buy the print copy on Amazon."

                                                                                       CLOSING

"Candra Baguley wrote a futuristic book that takes place in 2052.  My favorite thing about this great Author is the way she is already working on a sequel.  She can easily sit back and relax after all her hard work of creating a book that her Readers are pleased with.  However she is already making the next one.  When you read a book that you find yourself turning the pages when you reach the halfway point you are most likely invested in the story and the characters.  Near the last couple of chapters you're both excited that you found a great book but also wishing it wouldn't have to end.  Readers love knowing that the Author has another one in the works.  Her talent and work ethic are just some of the many reasons Candra Baguley is getting great reviews.  Click on the link above and buy "Transmissions To Titan"."

Taralynn Moore "King Unveiled" An Interview with Taralynn Moore by Jason E. Foss

                                                                              TARALYNN MOORE

"Great Authors started out as great writers.  At some point in their life they realized they had a talent and they were ready to take their writing to the next level.  They found that idea or that perfect story that they know the world would love!  It's always a great feeling when you catch one of them about to share their amazing talent with the world.  Their energy and their passion for writing resonates within them and their level of excitement for what they do is impossible to hide.  But then again why hide it.? Readers love to know how important they are to these amazing Writers.  Taralynn Moore is a talented Writer and she is ready to share it with the World!  Taralynn let us know what motivated her."

                                                                                              Jason E. Foss

Jason:                               "What motivated you to write "King Unveiled"?"

Taralynn:

"I was inspired to start writing because I felt I’d lost a part of my creativity, that spark that lights you up inside. I was driven to finish the book by the loss of a friend. Her health was failing and she made me promise I wouldn’t give up. The story itself was inspired by a twist on the story of King David, and a play on the different levels of relationships within a coming of age story."

Jason:                                 "What characteristic of Bria can you relate to the most and why?

Taralynn:

"Bria is a quiet storm. She wears her strength in less obvious ways and is still learning when and how to use it. I was very much like that growing up. It wasn’t a lack of ability. It was learning that my voice, even if soft, could be powerful."

Jason:                                    "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "King Unveiled".

Taralynn:

"KING UNVEILED is about a girl, Bria, who finds out that her world is entirely different than she’s always known it to be. Beneath the title of her last name and family run corporation, KING, hides a mercenary army and medical research team she knew nothing about. Secret after family secret is uncovered all while she searches her heart for who she truly loves, her long time boyfriend, Jon, or new crush, David. It has elements of music, sweeping descriptions, heated actions scenes, and quiet romantic moments."

Jason:                                      "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"

Taralynn:

"I’m currently working on the next book of the series called KING ABDICATION, two standalone books, and a Christmas collection of short stories."

Jason:                                        "For those that want to read your book what is the easiest way to buy "King Unveiled"?"

Taralynn:

"KING UNVEILED will be released for pre-order on 4/9 and released in full on 5/14. I’m super excited about the cover reveal on 4/2 and all the release blitz fun that’s planned!"

                                                                                          CLOSING

"Taralynn was motivated when she started feeling like she lost a part of her creativity.  As she brilliantly put it 'that spark that lights you up inside'.  Also, it was very important for her to finish her book becaise of her promise to her Friend.  What I like most about Taralynn is her level of excitement for her book cover reveal, her book being available for pre-order in April, and it being fully released in May.  Her reaction is a great indication of the time, energy, and dedication she put into this book!  4/9/19 search on Amazon for Taralynn Moore and pre-order "King Unveiled".

Elizabeth Spradberry "Don't Be Decieved By The French" An Interview with Elizabeth Spradberry by Jason E. Foss

                                                                       ELIZABETH SPRADBERRY

"Great Authors have this unique ability to create new ideas.  For every need of Readers everywhere there is an Author there to fill in any void.  Traveling is a fun way to learn about different countries and languages.  Whenever someone is asked where would you like to visit someday I always hear similar answers.  Sometimes it's Bermuda, Jamaica, the Bahamas, or any other beautiful Island.
Other times I hear a lot of people say Italy or France.  That's when this Great Author comes into mind.  Elizabeth Spradberry knows how to have fun with her Readers and she writes in a way that is both entertaining and helpful to anyone looking to travel or learn one of the top languages of love.  She let us know what motivates her."

                                                                                                 Jason E. Foss

Jason:                             "What motivated you to write "Don't Be Decieved By The French"?"

Elizabeth:

"I like to write books about French people and French language."

Jason:                             "What is your favorite experience or moment so far as an Author?"

Elizabeth

"Getting a few good reviews for my first book."

Jason:                            "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "Don't Be Decieved By The French"?"

Elizabeth:

"Don't be deceived by the French" is a light-hearted 'tongue-in-cheek' book about the pitfalls of confusing words that sound in French like an English word but mean something different. In other words, how to avoid potentially embarrassing situations! It runs to 10 chapters.

Jason:                             "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"

Elizabeth:

"I am thinking of a book of English sayings that can be quite weird for a foreigner, and calling it "English for Johnny foreigner" This also will be tongue-in-cheek!"

Jason:                              "For those that want to read your book what is the easiest way to buy "Don't Be Decieved By The French"?'

Elizabeth:

"Copies can be bought on  including Kindle copies. Or soft-back copies can be bought from me for £3 (or dollar equivalent?) post-free.

Kirsten McKenzie "Painted" An Interview with Kirsten McKenzie by Jason E. Foss

                                                                            KIRSTEN MACKENZIE

"Great Authors know their stories best.  Some of them lived a part of it.  Add that with their creative imaginations and you wouldn't even be able to tell the difference.  Main characters are described to perfection in a way that you find yourself rooting for them as the pages are turned.  The story puts a blanket over the realities of the real world and the only thing that exists to you is the book in front of you.  While you are at work you can't wait till your lunch break so you can dive into another chapter.  That's the power of words put together in a great book.  Kirsten Mackenzie is one of those great Authors.  She let us know what motivated her."

                                                                                              Jason. E. Foss

Jason:                             "What motivated you to write Painted?"

Kirsten:

"They say write what you know. Easy, I know antiques, I know old frames, and I know old homes filled with collections assembled over a lifetime. In the case of Painted, I began with a collection of old portraits and worked from there writing about an auction house cataloguing the deceased owner’s collection of art and antiquities, weaving in some of my own darkest fears."

"Years ago, on a holiday in Egypt, I was woken in the night by a man appearing in my room. I first thought there was a fire and he’d come to wake me. Alas no, he was there to tell me how much I reminded him of his girlfriend. The stench of alcohol wafted from him but instead of screaming I pulled my sheets up higher and we spoke. He sat in the room talking for a while, before leaving. I was too paralysed with fear to do anything sensible at the time."

"As horrifying as the experience was, writing a fictionalised version of it as part of the plot for Painted was cathartic, and the recurring nightmares I used to get have all but disappeared. Whether that particular passage in my book conveys the precise level of fear I was aiming for is for the reader to decide."

Jason:                                   "Which character can you relate to the most and why?"

Kirsten:

"I would say that I relate most to ‘Anita’, the lead protagonist in Painted. A young woman (I was once one too…), focussing on her career in art appraisal and antiques. After my father died suddenly, my brother and I quit our jobs to run the family antiques store. I’d always loved antiques, but working in the shop enhanced that passion, and I see that passion in ‘Anita’."

Jason:                                       "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe Painted."

Kirsten:

"Painted has been described as ‘Caravaggio meets Poltergeist’, and I couldn’t have described it better! It’s not a book filled with gore or extraneous violence, it’s more a gothic horror where the fear creeps up upon you, shadowing you in the hallways in the darkest part of night."

"It tells the story of Anita’s return to work after a terrifying personal experience, and what happens in the house full of art she’s sent to appraise. The lawyer for the dead artist didn’t bother giving Anita the instructions the artist left behind about how to handle the art. Instructions which were designed to keep her safe… safe from the art."

Jason:                                           "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"

Kirsten:

"I am halfway through my next thriller titled The Ruination of Art. Set in 1966 Florence, during their devastating floods, this novel also delves into the art world, and the tricky subject of forgeries and fraud. Although I’m already 60,000 words into it, I’m starting to feel a link to Painted coming through, so it will be interesting to see how that pans out!"

"And just to really keep me on my toes, I’ve started a YA time slip series - Ithaca Bound. It’s early days yet, only 20,000 words in. I have an excellent beta reading group on my Facebook page who are reading and commenting on each chapter as I produce it!"

"Kirsten Mackenzie was motivated by the saying "write what you know" and she knows antiques very well.  Mix that with what happened to her in Egypt and you have something that will get pages turning at a steady pace.  What I admire most about Kirsten is to see how she transforms a horrible moment in her life into a book that would create a chilling and thrilling story for book lovers everywhere.  Her bravery back then and the way she didn't panic is not an easy task for anyone to endure.  Thankfully she is here and uses her creative talents to give us a book that will satisfy our love for an original horror story.  Click on the link above and buy "Painted".

Hiba Azeem "I Love You" An Interview with Hiba Azeem by Jason E. Foss

                                                                                      HIBA AZEEM

"Great Writers almost always have one thing in commom.  They write about something they truly believe in.  It doesn't matter when they realize they have a talent for expressing themselves in a creative way once they put their thoughts on paper that reality begins to unfold.  Sentence after sentence their emotions start to flow and the Readers feel its genuine nature.  Relatable.  Passionate words.  The ability to touch someone with words put together like a puzzle of thoughts.  Once their book is complete their book will be able to touch the world one person at a time.  Hiba Azeem is one of those great Writers.  She let us know what motivated her."

                                                                                                   Jason E. Foss

Jason:                         "What motivated you to write "I Love You"?

Hiba:

"I love you was never written with intention and maybe that’s why it’s so special. I had written about half the poems here and there when I was feeling a lot. I was undiagnosed bipolar and I always felt I saw my world in high saturation and I wrote all the time. About a month before my diagnosis, I became incredibly depressed and out of that depression, I wrote enough poems that I realized I could compile them into a book. And so, I began writing even more as I got diagnosed and hospitalized. I worked on trying to get my random poems to fit a cohesive theme and once I felt I did that, I released my homemade little book of poems."

Jason:                         "Out of all the poems you wrote in your book which one means the most to you and why?"

Hiba:

"I don’t think there’s a single poem that means more than others to me. They all are genuinely very very special to me in their own unique ways."

Jason:                          "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe your book "I Love You".

Hiba:

"‘I love you’ is nothing but raw emotions. It’s a very real take on romance, self-love and mental health. It’s my truth and it’s my savior. I don’t know where I would be if I didn’t pour my heart and energy into this book when I did.

Jason:                          "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"

Hiba:

"I am working on three other books actually! Two are poetry collections and one is a dialogue-heavy contemporary romance novel! I’m so so excited about these writing projects and I genuinely can’t wait to share them with everyone!"

Jason:                           "For those that want to read your book what is the easiest way to buy "I Love You"?"
