                                                 (ALEXANDRIA, JENNIFER, SYDNEY)

                                                           JENNIFER COHEN

2020 FLORIDA MOTHER OF THE YEAR

"Life is about a little bit of everything.  Ups, downs, challenges, and self growth.  We all have what it takes to be successful.  Action is one of the most important steps to get things done.  Inspiration is a great way to give us the desire to act.  Jennifer Cohen, '2020 Florida Mother Of The Year', is a great leader that inspires us to act.  She has devoted her life to helping others.   What makes people go the extra mile to make a difference?  Jennifer Cohen speaks up for animals and for those that can't speak up for themselves.   What pushes someone to go the extra mile?  She lets us know what motivates her."

Jason:          As 2020 Florida's Mother of the Year you are an inspiration to a lot of people! You have two 17 year old Twins that believe in you. You give a lot of women strength with your story.  What is your motivation?

Jennifer:

"My motivation is centered around my twin 17-year-old daughters, Alexandria and Sydney.  I have taught them to be self-reliant and in charge of their own destiny."

"They have also learned that we can’t control what others may do, but that we can control how we choose to respond and move forward from adversity."

Jason:          You are very good at what you do and there are a lot of qualities one must have to be successful. What do you feel is the best characteristic to have in order to be successful?

Jennifer:

"Take risks.  Make them calculated risks, but take them.  Most people regret the things they are too afraid to do more than the things they try and fail.  Don't be afraid to fail.  And fail over and over again.  It means you are challenging yourself.  Don't be afraid to choose a new path."

Jason:           Do you have any other passion or life goals and if so what are they?

Jennifer:

"In my spare time I rescue animals from the shelter.  I've fostered more than 400 dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies.  I advocate for animals that are being abused and exploited."

Jason:             For those that are inspired by you and would like to chase their dreams and achieve their life goals what advice would you give them that would help them to be successful?

Jennifer:                           "Dream big but have a plan.  Dreaming alone won't make your dreams come true.  Set a goal and work that plan every day.  Most of all, know your worth. Don't ever compromise your beliefs. Don't ever let anyone treat you disrespectfully. Don't settle. And don't ever take the path of least resistance."

Jason:           You are very motivating.  For those that would love to support you how can they do so and what is the best way for them to contact you?

Jennifer:

"My personal email address is jennifercohen1969@gmail.com ."
