Amy J. Markstahler "Life Happens On The Stairs" An Interview with Amy J. Markstahler by Jason E. Foss

                                                                              AMY J. MARKSTAHLER

"Great Authors have a Passion for writing.  Whatever their purpose for writing their novel they have something deep inside of them that gives them the energy to create.  As they use their creative mind and unique imagination to write each page they are committed to their story until the very last chapter is complete.  Amy J. Markstahler is one of those great Authors.  She has the ability to take the Reader inside the story as soon as they open up the book.  Her characters come alive and the story takes a life of it's own giving the Reader a memorable experience.  Amy let us know what motivates her."

                                                                                                 Jason E. Foss

Jason:             "What motivated you to write "Life Happens On The Stairs"?"

Amy:

"I'd been dreaming of writing a novel for years. After a failed attempt, I sat down and started "Life Happens On The Stairs" as a sort of therapy. The Richardson family was inspired by my own experiences growing up, even though the book is completely fictional. I wanted to tell my parent's story without "telling" my parents story, if that makes sense."

Jason:                "What characteristic of Elsie Richardson can you relate to the most and why?"

Amy:

"Her frustration. How she's stuck in circumstances she wishes would change for the better. It's not easy being "the help" so from my own experiences, I was able to pour a lot of that emotion into her character."

Jason:                  "For your fans and Book Lovers briefly describe "Life Happens On The Stairs"."

Amy:

"Elsie Richardson’s world crumbles when her dad drops from a seizure at the 4th of July festival. The reality that his brain tumor is back with a vengeance slams the 17-year-old aspiring artist and her family into intense hardship. Her mom needs help to make ends meet, forcing Elsie into adulting overnight. On top of t hat, Elsie’s caustic, grudge-holding brother is on his way home, and Elsie fears he will only make matters worse. Feeling alone and hopeless, Elsie does as she’s told and goes to work with her mom. That’s when she meets Tyler Vaughn, the grandson of her mom’s wealthiest client. After he invites her to go jogging at the historical Shiloh National Military Park, Elsie is warned by her mom to stay away from the wealthy, young man. Elsie gets the notice a bit too late, and so she lies about who she’s meeting each morning. Over the next few weeks, Tyler becomes her secret solace amidst all the uncertainty she’s facing. But when reality strikes and her private world crashes, she's forced to find her inner strength on her own."

Jason:                  "Are you working on another book and if so what can you share about it with us?"

                                                                                         CLOSING

"Amy J. Markstahler has been dreaming of writing a novel for years.  After a failed attempt she was motivated to sit down and start writing "Life Happens On The Stairs" as a sort of therapy. What stands out to me is when she said ' After A Failed Attempt'.  I admire that because she could have left that part out.  Not that many people out there want to speak of their failures.  However she gives us the motivation that when we fail at something we are still capable of achieving greatness.  She has been dreaming of writing a novel for years!  If that isn't Passion I don't know what is.  Now she has a completed novel and her talent shows in each page.  Click on the link above and buy "Life Happens On The Stairs".
