MEGAN D HARDING
"Great Authors can take one word and create a whole story behind it. Their dreams can expand into a book. Their words leave an impact on the Reader. Their story can entertain the Reader while at the same time encourage them to follow their own dreams. The plot can mirror something the Reader can relate to in their own life. They create a World and a Journey that the Reader will imagine and envision throughout the pages of their book. Megan D. Harding is one of these great Authors. She let us know what motivated her."

Jason: "What motivated you to write "The Coin And The Crown"?
Megan:
"My ideas usually come from dreams. This one began from one glimpse of me in a garden holding a coin that I knew held my destiny. I woke up before I turned the coin in my hand. I write fantasy with christian hints and influences, and I hope that shows in this story. I want the readers to come away knowing how important each person is. There's a hidden theme of "there are two sides to each coin". Your destiny is great. But only if you sieze the opportunity."
Jason: "What characteristic of Amira's can you relate to the most and why?
Megan:
"Amira is one of the characters I relate to the least. She's bold and daring. She's a leader and a rebel. i'm sure we do share some characteristics. One of them is second guessing ourselves. She tends to dive head first into her decisions. The biggest thing I think we have in common is being fiercely protective. It's what drives her throughout the entire book."
Jason: "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "The Coin And The Crown"."
Megan:
"Astrean is the greatest of the seven kingdoms. The reason being that they follow an ancient magical placement system. When you are of age, you are presented with a coin. One of ten symbols will appear and that person will leave their family and begin working. Amira became an orphan at a young age. It was only her snd her brother. She was given the symbol of servitude and sent to work in the castle. Because of her father's high standing she wasn't a normal servant, but a jewel of the court. The queen kept a small number of girls in court to do her bidding. Mostly they were show pigs, dolls parading around the castle until bought from the queen. Amira spent her time gambling to pay her own dowry and join the army. She was a leader, in charge of her own destiny."
"The princes' birthday is coming up, but first he must find a bride and take the throne. A selection festival is held, and a bride is chosen. But before the wedding, he flees with his friend and servant Amira. Together they search the kingdom for the truth. The greatest kingdom is much darker than they knew. As darkness rises, Amira begins to exhibit magical capabilities. They fight to put the Prince on the throne. Through battles, dark magic, pirates, engagements and betrayals, Amira will do anything to protect the prince... Even defeat death."
Jason: "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"
Megan:
"I have so many 'work in projects' happening right now. One is THE THRONE AND THE MIRROR, the sequel to the "THE COIN AND THE CROWN". I'm also excited about a magical, dystopian, steampunk retelling of the story of Ester. The Bachelor meets the Hunger Games and The Darkest Minds."
Jason: "For those that want to read your book what is the easiest way to buy "The Coin And The Crown"?"

CLOSING
"Megan was motivated by a dream. I am amazed by how creative she was with a 'Coin' and how it holds so much importance in this book. The concept that it has the power to decide what one will do for a living depending on which of the 10 symbols that is shown makes a great story in itself. My favorite thing she said was that 'your destiny is great but only if you seize the opportunity. That is so true and she lets us know that the things we want in life won't just be handed to us. We have to step up to the challenges in our life and do what it takes to get to where we want to be. The Prince and Amira, the battles, the pirates and the betrayals are going to give the Reader such an intriguing Journey to keep those pages turning and their interest throughout the entirety of this book.
