Jason: "What motivated you to write "An Impossible Truth"?"
Petra:
"Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to write. I’ve been writing all my life, and inspiration for my stories come from all over the place. For An Impossible Truth I was inspired by a dream actually. I don’t remember what that particular dream was about, just that I woke up thinking: what if my dreams were actually real? What if I traveled somewhere instead of staying in my bed during the night?"
Jason: "What characteristic of Sophia McAllister can you relate to the most and why?"
Petra:
"Sophia reminds me a lot of a younger version of myself. Being afraid to get into a relationship was something I dealt with also. She dreams a lot, as do I. And Sophia’s prone to overthink everything, which I can relate to as well."
Jason: "For your fans and book lovers briefly describe "An Impossible Truth"."
Petra:
"An Impossible Truth is the first book in a pentalogy called The Somnia Series. It tells the story about 26-year-old Sophia McAllister who finds out her dreams are not just dreams; she travels to different realms. In one of those realms she’s 10 years younger and it’s here where she meets Stiles. They instantly have a connection. In her quest to find out what the heck is happening she starts to doubt her own reality, whether the life’s she’s led so far is in fact real."
Jason: "Are you working on another book and if so what can you tell us about it?"
Petra:
"I’m always working on a next book, ha ha. After releasing An Impossible Truth in 2017 and the second book Fade Into Darkness in 2018, I’m now working on getting the third book, The Shadow’s Charm ready for release in July of this year. This book basically continues the story of Sophia as she finds out more about her powers, and all the realms she visits. This third book has a darker tone than the previous ones and I’m pretty excited to see how my readers will respond to this book."
