Ingrid Foster "My Father's Magic" An Interview with Ingrid Foster by Jason E. Foss

                                                                                    INGRID FOSTER

"Great Authors have this ability to capture your attention at the very first page.  They love their Readers and are not about to waste a second of thier time.  Every word is carefully thought out.  If it doesn't make sense they will hit the delete button as many times as it takes.  They have the answer to your mind's imagination.  As long as you are willing to let yourself go and get lost in their great story be ready and enjoy the ride.  Images will sorround your thoughts as their words will slowly but surely paint the perfect picture of each scene in every chapter.  All you have to do is pick your favorite place you like to Read and go to page 1.  The story they created for you will do the rest.  Ingrid Foster is one of these great Authors.  She let us know what motivated her."

                                                                                                       Jason E. Foss

Jason:                                     "What motivated you to write "MY FATHER'S MAGIC"?"

Ingrid:

"Well, I've always heard, "Write what you know." So, with that in mind, I sat down to write a memoir, and everything was going great until the middle of the page two. Having ADHD, I get bored easily and I couldn't think of anything else to write."

"So, I gave up on the memoir and decided to write a book I would enjoy reading. Of all the books I've read, MY FATHER'S MAGIC is the only book I've enjoyed reading fifteen times. Of course, most of those times involved editing, but to this day, it's still my favorite story."

Jason:                                       "What characteristic of Esme can you relate to and why?

Ingrid:

"Her determination. When Esme's sorcerer father stole her away from her mother when she was six, he also blocked her memory. So, for eighteen years, Esme had no memory of her early childhood or her relationship with her mother."

"Even though her mother was catatonic for all those years, Esme never gave up hope that one day her mother would wake up. We share that trait. I don't give up easily, especially when it comes to family."

Jason:                                           "For your fans and book lovers, briefly describe "MY FATHER'S MAGIC"."

Ingrid:

"MY FATHER'S MAGIC is the story of a distraught young woman who upon her father's death, discovers an old key in his desk. A key to a family home she knows nothing about. With the need to grieve, she decides it's the perfect place to be alone. Or, is it?"

                                                         "From the book description":

"And there's the house, an old stone house in the middle of nowhere... Or so Esme thinks until she's accused of trespassing by a neighbor claiming to be an old friend, is welcomed home by a voice with no body, and is awakened in the middle of the night by a furry intruder.
And it all begins with a key. A skeleton key left in an old desk just waiting for her to find it."

Jason:                                              "Are you working on another book?"

Ingrid:

"Yes, two, the first is the sequel to MY FATHER'S MAGIC that picks up whether the first book left off. It's entitled, REVENGE of the DARK QUEEN, and I hope to have it out this year.
The second book is a collection of short stories entitled, DARK DESERT TALES the COLLECTION. It will include five new stories, two of which pick up where my two currently published Tales, FRESH MEAT and A HOME FOR ROSE, leave off."

Jason:                                               "Where is my MY FATHER'S MAGIC available?"

Ingrid:

"My website always carries the latest and greatest news about my stories,  HYPERLINK. ingridfoster.com/my-stories and it includes links to my Amazon author page. Or to go straight to Amazon,  HYPERLINK  amazon.com/author/ingridfoster

                                                                                        CLOSING

"Ingrid Foster was motivated by the saying "Write what you know".  So she decided to write about her favorite story.  What I like most about Ingrid Foster is that she admitted to having ADHD and that she gets bored easily.  She teaches us that ADHD is not a weakness, it is just something that gets you bored easily.  So she brilliantly decided to write about something she is excited about!  She inspires us all that we can accomplish anything we put our mind to.  Also she lets us know that we should find what we are excited about and pursue it.  If you spend time working on things and ideas that you love and get excited about you can't go wrong.  This amazing book you are going to enjoy because the Author was passionate about it before and after she wrote it.  So the Reader is going to feel that passion as they read it.  Click on the link above and buy "My Father's Magic"."
